GOD'S PROVIDENCE [ 1 ]
"The moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans."
- Romans 8:26 -Experiences with God, which occurred in the past, continue to occur in the present with those who seek Him.
On a Monday morning in 2009, I got up at dawn to make a trip from Coimbra to Lisbon; I didn't want to be late for work, which began at 9am.
When I got close to my workplace, I saw that I had a flat tire. I got out of the car, got the tools and tried to change the tire; however, I was only able to undo one of the wheel nuts. I tried several times to loosen the others, but without success. Given this situation, I prayed to God for strength to change the tire, because I wanted to be at work on time. When I finished my little prayer to the Lord, a man appeared; he seemed to be two meters high and he looked very strong. He asked me if I needed help. I thanked God straight away and I readily accepted the man’s help! The man put his strength into it and after a short time, he was able to remove the remaining nuts. I thanked the man, and went to my work.
God did not give me what I asked for,
but just what I needed.
This is one of many experiences I had with the Lord. I shared it with my wife and, two years later, she remembered it in a similar situation. You can see what happened in our next reading, in two weeks time.

PROVIDÊNCIA DE DEUS [ 1 ]
"E da mesma maneira também o Espírito ajuda as nossas fraquezas; porque não sabemos o que havemos de pedir como convém, mas o mesmo Espírito intercede por nós com gemidos inexprimíveis."
- Romanos 8:26 -As experiências com Deus que ocorreram no passado, continuam a ocorrer no presente com todos aqueles que O buscam.
Em 2009, numa segunda-feira de manhã, levantei-me de madrugada para fazer uma viagem de Coimbra para Lisboa, pois entrava ao trabalho nessa manhã às 9h e não queria chegar atrasado.
Quando já estava a chegar perto do local de destino, verifico que tenho um pneu furado. Saio do carro, vou buscar as ferramentas e tento trocar o pneu. No entanto, apenas consegui tirar uma das porcas da roda. Tentei por diversas vezes fazer força para tirar as outras, mas foi em vão. Perante esta situação, orei a Deus pedindo que me desse força para trocar o pneu, pois queria estar no trabalho a horas. Ao terminar a breve petição ao Senhor, aparece um homem de aproximadamente 2 metros com aspecto de ter força, a perguntar-me se precisava de ajuda. Agradeci imediatamente a Deus e prontamente aceitei a ajuda do homem! O homem fez também alguma força e ao fim de pouco tempo conseguiu soltar as porcas restantes. Agradeci ao homem e fui para o meu trabalho.
Deus não me deu o que eu pedi
mas apenas o que eu necessitava.
Fiquei impressionado pela forma como Deus respondeu a uma pequena e tão simples oração. Deus não me deu o que eu pedi mas apenas o que eu necessitava.
Esta é uma das inúmeras experiências que tive com o Senhor. Partilhei-a com a minha esposa e após aproximadamente 2 anos, ela lembrou-se desta experiência numa situação semelhante. Vejam o que aconteceu através da leitura da próxima experiência, dentro de duas semanas.
