What motivates me to be part of this project? To discover what the real differences are between a life with God and a life without God, and to find reasons to prefer the former and share them in the way that most inspires me - through real stories of real people who have also found reasons for choosing a life with God. Of course, I have already found some reasons, but I'm hungry for more. The differences are not always clear? It is true. However, the challenges that God places on our ability to trust challenge me to want to prove that, in my life, and yours too, these differences can make all the difference! “Come now, and let us reason together, Says the Lord.” Isaiah 1:18

O que me motiva a participar neste projeto? Descobrir quais são as verdadeiras diferenças entre uma vida com Deus e uma vida sem Deus e, encontrando motivos para preferir a primeira, partilhá-los da forma que mais me inspira - através de histórias reais de pessoas reais que também encontraram motivos para preferir uma vida com Deus. As diferenças nem sempre são claras? É certo. Mas os desafios que Deus coloca à nossa capacidade de confiar, desafiam-me a querer provar que, na minha vida, e na tua também, essas diferenças podem fazer toda a diferença! “Venham então ter comigo e conversemos! — diz o Senhor.” Isaías 1:18

Designing consists of communication. It is conveying a message. It is translating concepts, sometimes complex, into something so genuine, so accessible, so simple, that it can be understood by all. No limits or prejudices. It is versatile. There is room for the simplest to the most elaborate...every detail counts and all choices have a purpose in this form of communication. Sharing the Gospel is my goal! To be able to explore the Word without words, using the tools that bring me most joy... is enough motivation :) “When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. O design consiste em comunicação. É levar uma mensagem. É traduzir conceitos, por vezes complexos, em algo tão genuíno, tão acessível, simples que possa ser entendido por todos. Não tem limites nem preconceitos. É versátil. Há lugar para o mais simples até ao mais elaborado… todos os pormenores contam e todas as escolhas têm um objectivo nesta comunicação. Partilhar o Evangelho é o meu objectivo! Poder explorar a Palavra sem palavras, utilizando as ferramentas que mais gozo me dão… é motivação suficiente :) “Buscar-me-eis e me achareis quando me buscardes de todo o vosso coração.” Jeremias 29:13

How nice it is to find and participate in this space full of creativity and real testimonies of what a life with God can be. It is a real pleasure to use my talents to share the God who really makes a difference in my life. “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. Que bom que é encontrar e participar neste espaço cheio de criatividade e de testemunhos reais do que pode ser uma vida com Deus. É um verdadeiro prazer usar os meus talentos para partilhar o Deus que realmente faz diferença na minha vida. “Há diferentes tipos de dons, mas o Espírito é o mesmo. Há diferentes tipos de ministérios, mas o Senhor é o mesmo. Há diferentes formas de atuação, mas é o mesmo Deus quem efetua tudo em todos”. 1 Coríntios 12:4-6

As Christians, we have to be bilingual...to know how to translate the Gospel of Christ into a language which is understood in our culture! This is also an excellent initiative to show, explore, develop, create... create opportunities! Create opportunities to reach places and people that could otherwise not be reached, in a way that we would otherwise not be able to. Create opportunities for people to get to know, adopt and live the Gospel in their lives. “Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun… for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform… Whatever your hand finds to do—do it with all your might...” Ecclesiastes 9:9-10 Two are better than one because a good return comes when two work together. If one of them falls, the other can help him up. But who will help the pitiful person who falls down alone? Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Como cristãos temos ser bilingues… saber como traduzir o Evangelho de Cristo para uma linguagem que seja compreendida na nossa cultura! E esta é uma excelente iniciativa para mostrar, explorar, desenvolver, criar… criar oportunidades! Criar oportunidades de chegar onde, de outra maneira, não chegamos, a quem, de outra maneira, não chegamos, como, de outra maneira, não chegamos… criar oportunidades para que as pessoas possam conhecer, adotar e viver o Evangelho nas suas vidas. “Goza a vida com a mulher que amas, todos os dias da tua vida vã, os quais Deus te deu debaixo do sol... porque esta é a tua porção nesta vida. E no teu trabalho... tudo quanto te vier à mão para fazer, faz com todas as tuas forças...” Eclesiastes 9:9-10 “É melhor serem dois do que um, porque o esforço dos dois consegue melhores resultados… e se um cair, o outro ajuda-o a levantar, mas ai do que estiver só, pois caindo, não haverá ninguém que o levante.” Eclesiastes 4:9-10

I already knew the blog and I was surprised by the invitation. I think it's a very interesting project and it is an honour to collaborate in it and take a little bit of God to the world in such a contemporary way. “You are young, but don’t let anyone treat you as if you are not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them by what you say, by the way you live, by your love, by your faith, and by your pure life.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Já conhecia o blog e fiquei surpreendida com o convite. Acho um projeto muito interessante e é uma honra colaborar e levar um bocadinho de Deus ao mundo desta forma tão atual. “Ninguém despreze a tua mocidade; mas sê o exemplo dos fiéis, na palavra, no trato, no amor, no espírito, na fé, na pureza.” I Timóteo 4:12

For a few years, I've been praying and looking for some way to serve God. Admittedly, I’d not been looking terribly hard :-). In my mind, I imagine God eventually saying: “Ok, Malcolm, time to get off your lazy rear end. If you want to do something, here’s your chance – it’s up to you to take it.” I thank God for this opportunity to make a difference, even if in a small way. The tiny sand castles we make for Him, He can grow into monuments to His love. “Those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:31

Há alguns anos que orava e procurava alguma forma de servir a Deus. Tenho de admitir que não procurava incessantemente :-). Na minha mente, imagino Deus a dizer: “Ok, Malcolm, é tempo de levantares o teu traseiro preguiçoso. Se queres fazer alguma coisa, aqui está a tua oportunidade - só depende de ti agarrá-la.” Agradeço a Deus por esta oportunidade de fazer a diferença, mesmo que de uma forma pequena. Os pequeninos castelos de areia que fazemos para Deus, Ele pode transformá-los em monumentos ao Seu amor. “Mas os que confiam no Senhor renovarão as suas forças. Subirão com asas como águias; correrão e não se cansarão; andarão sem desfalecerem.” Isaías 40:31

I like to illustrate, that is, making visible what is hidden behind words, concepts or feelings. It was God's purpose to illustrate His love by sending Jesus that "became flesh" (and bone), visible and palpable as a revealing illustration for man. This project challenges me, firstly, to remember each time that the Lord shows Himself in a real way; secondly, it challenges me to share Him in a visible form. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Gosto de ilustrar, ou seja, tornar visível aquilo se esconde por trás de palavras, conceitos ou sentimentos. Foi o objetivo de Deus ilustrar o Seu amor enviando Jesus que “se fez carne”(e osso), visível e palpável como ilustração reveladora para o Homem. Este projeto desafia-me em primeiro lugar a relembrar todas as vezes que o Senhor se mostra de uma forma real, em segundo lugar desafia-me a partilhá-lO de uma forma visível. “Mas vós sois a geração eleita, o sacerdócio real, a nação santa, o povo adquirido, para que anuncieis as grandezas daquele que vos chamou das trevas para a sua maravilhosa luz.” I Pedro 2:9
